Which is the prerequisites for immigration to Ireland?
To immigrate to Ireland, non-EU/EEA citizens typically need a visa, with the type depending on the purpose and duration of stay. Short-stay 'C' visas are for visits under 3 months, while long-stay 'D' visas cover work, study, or family reunification. Employment permits, such as the Critical Skills Permit, are required for many jobs. Students need proof of enrollment, financial support, and private health insurance. Upon arrival for long-term stays, registration with the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS) is mandatory to obtain an Irish Residence Permit (IRP). Financial proof, accommodation details, and good character references may also be required. EU/EEA and Swiss citizens, however, do not need a visa to live, work, or study in Ireland.

What IELTS Score required for Ireland?
To study in Ireland, the minimum IELTS score required for a student visa is 5.0. However, individual universities often have higher requirements. For undergraduate programs, many institutions expect an overall IELTS score between 6.0 and 6.5, with no individual band less than 6.0. For postgraduate programs, the requirement may rise to an overall score of 6.5 or 7.0. For example, Trinity College Dublin requires an overall band score of 6.5 for undergraduate courses, while the University of Limerick expects a 6.5 overall score with no band less than 6.0. It's essential to check the specific IELTS requirements of your chosen university and program, as they can vary.
