NAATI & CCL Coaching
NAATI is the national standards and certifying authority for translators and interpreters in Australia. It is the organisation that sets and maintains the national standards for the translating and interpreting sector and issues certification to practitioners who intend to work in this profession in Australia.
The Credentialed Community Language Test (CCL) is generally taken by applicants to claim an additional 5 points for points-based migration to Australia. Unlike NAATI Certification that is a professional certification that allows you to work as an interpreter or translator, CCL test is just an assessment of your language abilities at a community level.
NAATI CCL tests are delivered over the internet via Microsoft Teams and are available for many languages such as Nepali, Hindi, Urdu, Vietnamese, Russian, etc. The test consists of two dialogue recordings of 300 words each & each worth 45 marks. You must listen to the recordings and interpret them as required. To pass the test, the candidate must score a minimum of 29 marks in each dialogue and a total score of at least 63 out of 90. Results are sent via email within 8-10 weeks of the test date and are valid for three years from the date of issue.
